Materials
– Strong cotton yarn or macrame cord (approx. 50g)
– 4 mm crochet hook
– 2 wooden or plastic D-rings (optional for buckle ends)
– Scissors
– Tapestry needle
– Measuring tape

Instructions

The strap is made of two loops for the mat and one long connecting band.

First Loop (Mat End):
- Ch 40
- Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (39 sc).
- Row 2–4: Ch 1, turn, sc across.
- Fasten off.
- Fold into loop and seam short ends together to form a band.
- Repeat to make second loop.
Center Strap:
- Ch 100 (adjust based on how low you want it to hang).
- Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across.
- Row 2–4: Ch 1, turn, sc across.
- Fasten off.
Assembly:
- Sew each loop to either end of the strap band, aligning them perpendicular.
- Test with yoga mat and tighten the loops around each end.
Optional (D-Ring):
- Instead of sewing loops shut, feed them through D-rings for an adjustable buckle-style fit.
