Amigurumi Rabbit and Fox Teething Rings

Materials:

Yarn: 100% cotton yarn in beige, orange, and pink (approx. 50g each color)
Hook: 3.5mm (E) crochet hook
Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
Safety eyes (optional)
Wooden teething rings (2)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Scissors

Gauge: 16 sts and 20 rows in single crochet = 4" (10 cm) square. To measure gauge, crochet a 4" square and count the stitches and rows in that square.

dec = decrease (sc 2 together)

Rabbit Head:

Using beige yarn, start with a magic ring (MR) and 6 sc in the ring. (6)
R1: Inc in each stitch around. (12)
R2: *1 sc, inc* repeat around. (18)
R3: *2 sc, inc* repeat around. (24)
R4-R7: Sc in each stitch around. (24)
R8: *2 sc, dec* repeat around. (18)
R9: *1 sc, dec* repeat around. (12)
Stuff the head lightly with polyester fiberfill.
R10: Dec around until closed. Weave in ends.
Attach safety eyes or embroider eyes with black yarn.

Rabbit Ears (make 2):

Using beige yarn, ch 15.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (14)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. (14).
Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. (14).
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Fold and sew in a bunny ear shape.

Fox Head:

R4-R7: Sc in each stitch around. (24)

R10: Dec around until closed. Weave in ends.

Fox Ears (make 2):

Using orange yarn, ch 10.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (9)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. (9).
Row 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across. (9).
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Fold and sew in a fox ear shape.

Assembly:

Attach the heads to the top of the wooden rings using a yarn needle and the tail ends.
Position the ears and sew them to the heads securely.
Ensure everything is securely fastened and weave in any loose ends.
