Materials
– Sport weight cotton yarn (approx. 80g)
– 3.5 mm crochet hook
– Tapestry needle
– Scissors
– Optional: elastic or lining fabric

Instructions

Each cup is made separately, then connected with chain ties.

  1. Cup (make 2):

    • Ch 12.

    • Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (11 sts). Ch 1, turn.

    • Row 2: 2 sc in first st, sc across to last st, 2 sc in last st (13 sts). Ch 1, turn.

    • Row 3–10: Repeat Row 2, increasing 1 stitch at each edge every row (add 2 sts per row).

    • Stop when you reach approx. 25 sts wide or desired size.

    • Fasten off.

  2. Edging (for each cup):

    • Attach yarn to bottom corner.

    • Work sc evenly along the two angled sides of the triangle.

    • Ch 50 at the top corner for the neck tie.

    • Repeat for second side and bottom, chaining 70 across for the bottom band.

  3. Joining Cups:

    • With both cups facing right side out, connect them by chaining 10 and stitching the inner bottom corners together.

    • Add or adjust chain length for comfort and spacing.

  4. Finishing:

    • Weave in all ends.

    • Optionally sew in a fabric lining or use swim elastic along the base for extra support.

How To

  1. Adjusting Size:
Add or reduce rows to change cup size. Add more stitches between cups if needed for wider chests.

  2. Yarn Matters:
Use cotton for comfort, but note it absorbs water — not ideal for heavy swimming unless lined.

  3. Secure Fit Tip:
Try the top on before finalizing tie lengths. Add stoppers or beads at tie ends if desired.

  4. Block Lightly:
Wet block your cups for smooth edges and uniform shape.

  5. Custom Colors:
Stripes, ombre, or colorblock all look amazing with this pattern.
