Materials:
- 5.0 mm (H) Crochet Hook

Gauge:
17 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet (dc). Measure your gauge by making a small swatch of 10 dc stitches over 10 rows. Adjust your hook size if necessary to meet the gauge.

dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch

Instructions:
Foundation:
1. Start with a slip knot on your hook.
2. Ch 6, then join with a sl st to form a ring.
Round 1:
1. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then work 11 dc into the ring.
2. Join with a sl st to the top of the first ch-3. (Total: 12 dc)
Round 2:
1. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then in the same stitch, work 2 dc.
2. In each dc around, make 2 dc.
3. Join with a sl st to the top of the first ch-3. (Total: 24 dc)
Round 3:
1. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then dc in the next stitch, *2 dc in the next stitch, dc in the next stitch; repeat from * around.
2. Join with a sl st to the top of the first ch-3. (Total: 36 dc)
Round 4:
1. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then dc in the next 2 stitches, *2 dc in the next stitch, dc in the next 2 stitches; repeat from * around.
2. Join with a sl st to the top of the first ch-3. (Total: 48 dc)
Round 5:
1. Ch 1, sc in the same stitch and in each dc around for a flat edge.
2. Join with a sl st to the first sc.
Round 6:
