Worsted weight cotton yarn (2–3 colors)
4.0 mm crochet hook
Scissors
Yarn needle

Instructions

Center (Color A):
Magic ring
Round 1: ch 2 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into ring, sl st to first dc (12)
Fasten off and change to Color B.
Petals (Color B):
ch 2, 2 dc in next st, ch 2, sl st in same st — repeat around in every stitch (12 petals total)
Sl st to first ch-2 space to join. Fasten off.
Backing Round (Optional, Color C):
Join yarn to back loops of Round 1.
sc in each st around to reinforce the base. Sl st to join and fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends. Gently block the coaster flat if needed.
