Materials
– Worsted weight baby yarn (approx. 250–300g)
– 5 mm circular needles (or long straight needles)
– Tapestry needle
– 2 buttons (optional)
– Scissors

Instructions

Main Rectangle (Body Base):
- CO 70 stitches
- Knit in garter stitch (knit every row) until the piece measures 55–60 cm
- Bind off loosely
Side Flaps (Make 2):
- Pick up 35 stitches from each long edge
- Knit in garter stitch for 18–20 cm
- Bind off loosely
- These will fold inward to form an envelope
Bottom Fold:
- Fold up ~15–18 cm from the bottom edge
- Seam side edges to enclose the feet
Closure:
- Sew buttons on left flap, corresponding buttonholes on right flap
- Or use ties, snaps, or Velcro instead
Optional Hood:
- Pick up stitches along one short edge and knit a small rectangle
- Fold and seam to form a triangle hood
