Materials
– Worsted weight baby yarn (approx. 250–300g)
– 5 mm circular needles (or long straight needles)
– Tapestry needle
– 2 buttons (optional)
– Scissors


Instructions

  1. Main Rectangle (Body Base):

    • CO 70 stitches

    • Knit in garter stitch (knit every row) until the piece measures 55–60 cm

    • Bind off loosely

  2. Side Flaps (Make 2):

    • Pick up 35 stitches from each long edge

    • Knit in garter stitch for 18–20 cm

    • Bind off loosely

    • These will fold inward to form an envelope

  3. Bottom Fold:

    • Fold up ~15–18 cm from the bottom edge

    • Seam side edges to enclose the feet

  4. Closure:

    • Sew buttons on left flap, corresponding buttonholes on right flap

    • Or use ties, snaps, or Velcro instead

  5. Optional Hood:

    • Pick up stitches along one short edge and knit a small rectangle

    • Fold and seam to form a triangle hood
