Materials
– Worsted weight yarn (20g, cotton or acrylic blend)
– 4 mm knitting needles
– 1 wooden button (approx. 2 cm)
– Tapestry needle

Instructions

Cast On: 18 stitches.
Moss Stitch Pattern:
- Row 1: (K1, P1) repeat to end.
- Row 2: (P1, K1) repeat to end.
- Repeat these two rows until the piece measures approx. 22 cm.
Buttonhole (optional):
- On a right side row near one end: Work 8 sts in pattern, bind off 2 sts, finish row.
- Next row: Work in pattern to bound-off gap, cast on 2 sts, continue to end.
Final Rows: Work 2 more rows in pattern.
Bind Off: Loosely in pattern.
Finishing: Weave in ends, sew button opposite the buttonhole side.
