Materials:
- Yarn: 600 yards of lightweight (DK/3) yarn in a beige color.

- Scissors.
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge:
16 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet. To measure gauge, crochet a swatch of 20 chains and work in double crochet for 10 rows. Measure 4 inches in the center of your swatch and count the number of stitches to see if it matches the gauge.
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- dc: double crochet
- st: stitch
- sl st: slip stitch
Instructions:
Foundation Chain: Start by making a slip knot and chains. Ch 90.
Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from the hook (this counts as your first dc), then dc in each ch across. You will have 88 dc at the end of this row. Turn your work.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as your first dc), then dc in the next st. Next: in the next st, work a bobble stitch (5 dc in the same st). Dc in the next 2 st. Repeat from Next until you reach the last 2 stitches. Dc in the last 2 st. Turn your work.
Row 3: Ch 3, then dc in the next st. Work a dc in each of the bobbles from the previous row. Dc in the last st. Turn your work.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2.
Row 5: Repeat Row 3.
Continue alternating between Rows 2 and 3 until your shawl measures approximately 60 inches from the foundation chain.
Last Row: Ch 1, sl st in each stitch across to create a neat edge. Fasten off and weave in any loose ends with a tapestry needle.
Finishing: After completing your shawl, it’s a good idea to block it. Soak it in lukewarm water for 20 minutes, then gently press out the excess water without wringing. Lay it flat on a towel and shape it to your desired dimensions. Let it dry completely. This will enhance the texture and drape of your shawl.
Optional Variations: You can add a fringe to the edges for extra flair or change the color of the yarn for a more vibrant look.
