Cozy Textured Beanie
Materials:
- Yarn: Bulky weight yarn (approx. 100 yards)
- Needles: 9mm (US 13) circular knitting needles (16 inch length)

Gauge:
Using the 9mm needles, knit 10 stitches and 10 rows in stockinette stitch should measure 4 inches square. Check your gauge to ensure a proper fit!
Abbreviations:
- CO: Cast On
- K: Knit
- P: Purl
- St(s): Stitch(es)
- BO: Bind Off
Instructions:
Cast On:
CO 60 stitches using the long tail method. Ensure you're using a loose grip since this will help when knitting the first row.
Ribbing (Rows 1-12):
Work in the following pattern for the next 12 rows:
- Row 1: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end.
- Row 2: Knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches.
Continue this rib pattern until you have completed 12 rows.
Body of the Hat (Rows 13-28):
Now, switch to a stockinette stitch:
- Row 13: K all stitches.
- Row 14: P all stitches.
Repeat these two rows until you've reached a total of 28 rows from the CO edge (measuring approximately 6 inches tall).
Crown Decrease (Rows 29-34):
Start to decrease for the crown of the beanie:
- Row 29: K8, K2tog; repeat from * to end (54 stitches left).
- Row 30: P all stitches.
- Row 31: K7, K2tog; repeat from * to end (48 stitches left).
- Row 32: P all stitches.
- Row 33: K6, K2tog; repeat from * to end (42 stitches left).

Bind Off:
