Instructions:

This mug cozy is knitted in a simple garter stitch, which means you’ll knit every row. Follow these steps:

Cast On: Cast on 40 stitches using your size 8 needles.
Rows 1-12: Knit every row (40 rows total). You should have a total length of about 4 inches.
Shape the Cozy: To make it fit snugly around your mug, we will reduce the stitches. Follow this pattern:

Row 13: K2, k2tog, knit to last 4 stitches, k2tog, k2.
Row 14: Knit all stitches.
