Crochet Daisy Bookmark
Materials:
- Yarn: Worsted Weight (Medium #4)
- White yarn (for petals)
- Yellow yarn (for center)
- Green yarn (for stem)

Gauge: 4 inches = 14 stitches in double crochet.
To measure gauge, make a small swatch of double crochet: chain 20 and complete 8 rows of double crochet. Measure the swatch; if it doesn’t match, adjust the hook size as needed.

Instructions:
Flower Center:
- With yellow yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc here and throughout), 11 dc into the ring. Pull the ring tight and join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2. (12 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 2, dc in the same stitch, *2 dc in next st, repeat from * around. Join with a sl st. (24 dc)
Flower Petals:
- Switch to white yarn.
- Round 3: *In the first stitch make 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc (this is one petal). Sk 1 st and repeat from * around. You should have 12 petals; join with a sl st.
Stem:
- With green yarn, ch 50 (or desired length for your bookmark).
- Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across.
- Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Assembly:
- Using the long tail from the stem, sew the base of the flower to the end of the stem securely.
- Weave in all ends with a yarn needle.
