  1. Ch 93–99–105–113–123–133

  2. Begin pattern as follows:

    • Row 1: dc in 4th ch from hook and across

    • Row 2: Begin lace stitch pattern (e.g. shell and V-st alternation, like chart A.1/A.2 style)

  3. Work until height reaches approx. 48–50–52–54–56–58 cm

  4. Mark each side for sleeve placement

Sleeves (added from side edges)
  1. From armhole marker, ch 44–46–48–50–52–54 for each sleeve

  2. Join to opposite marker and continue working in the round (or turn for flat sleeves)

  3. Follow lace pattern for sleeve until reaching 3/4 length (~20 cm)

  4. End with 3 rows of dc for cuff stability

Front Panels (Left & Right)
  1. Ch 63–65–70–74–81–86

  2. Row 1: dc in each

  3. Begin lace pattern following same logic as back

  4. At ~45 cm height, start shaping armholes to match back

  5. At total 68–70–72–74–76–78 cm height, finish with 3 dc rows

  6. Optional: add shaping to neck by skipping 1 dc every other row near inner edge

Assembly
  1. Seam shoulders with whip stitch or slip stitch

  2. Seam sleeves and sides in one continuous motion

  3. For shawl collar:

    • Attach yarn to bottom of right front

    • Work 1 row dc evenly up, across neckline, and down left front

    • Repeat for 4 more rows for wide collar

How To

  1. Fit Adjustment: If you want looser fit, add extra shell repeats in width. Always use stitch markers to align edges.

  2. Lace Pattern Tip: Block a swatch to understand how much the lace opens — it grows after washing.

  3. Yarn Choice: Bamboo blends drape beautifully and feel soft. Use cotton if you prefer structure.

  4. Beginner Notes: The piece is made from rectangles with minimal shaping, making it suitable for advanced beginners.
