Instructions:

For the Bear:

Body: In green yarn, make a magic ring and work 6 sc into the ring (6 sts).
Rnds 2-4: Inc in each stitch (24 sts).
Rnds 5-11: Sc in each stitch (24 sts across 7 rounds).
Rnd 12: *1 sc, Dec* repeat around (12 sts). Stuff as you go.
Rnd 13: Dec in each stitch (6 sts). Close and fasten off.
Arms (make 2): Same as body but only 6 rounds. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Rnd 9: *1 sc, Dec* repeat around (12 sts). Stuff lightly.
Rnd 10: Dec in each stitch (6 sts). Fasten off.
Beak: With orange yarn, ch 2, sc in second ch (1 st). Fasten off.
Eyes: Attach black safety eyes, and make a small felt or yarn beak.
Assembly: Attach the beak and eyes to the chick. You can even add small wings by making a few folded pieces of yarn.

Finishing: Weave in all ends and gently block your amigurumi if desired to even out the stitches. This adds a professional touch!
