Bunny-Inspired Crochet Set

Materials:

Chunky yarn (weight category 5), approx. 300 yards (150 yards for the balaclava, 150 yards for the crop top)
5.5 mm (I-9) crochet hook
Stitch marker

9 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet. To measure gauge, crochet a swatch of about 10 stitches wide and 10 rows high, then measure the dimensions after lightly stretching it.

Instructions:

Bunny Balaclava:

Start with a magic ring. Chain 3 (this counts as your first dc). Work 11 dc into the ring. Pull the ring tight and join with a sl st to the top of the starting chain (12 dc total).
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in the same st. 2 dc in each st around. Join (24 dc).
Round 3: Ch 3, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st*. Repeat around. Join (36 dc).
Round 4-6: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join (36 dc).
Round 7: Ch 3, *dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st*. Repeat around. Join (42 dc).
Round 8-10: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join (42 dc).
Round 11: Ch 3, *dc in next 6 sts, 2 dc in next st*. Repeat around. Join (48 dc).
Rounds 12-14: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join (48 dc).
For the face opening, leave the last two rounds unworked. Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing.
To create the ear flaps, attach yarn to the side of the balaclava, ch 15 and work back in sc to create a flap. Make two ear flaps total.

Fluffy Crop Top:

Chain 40 (or desired width for size). Join to form a circle with a sl st, being careful not to twist the chain.
