Crochet Breast Amigurumi

Materials:

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (medium weight, 4) in two colors: beige (for the main part) and pink (for the nipple). Approximately 50g of each color.
Hook Size: G/6 (4.0 mm) crochet hook.
Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill.
Stitch Marker: To mark the beginning of rounds.
Yarn Needle: For weaving in ends.

Gauge: 5 stitches per inch in single crochet. To measure gauge, make a swatch of 10 stitches and 10 rows. Should measure approximately 2 inches by 2 inches.

Abbreviations:

ch: chain
sc: single crochet
inc: increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
dec: decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)
R: Round

Instructions:

Base of the Breast:

With the beige yarn, make a magic ring.
R1: 6 sc into the magic ring. (6 stitches)
R2: Inc in each st (12 stitches).
R3: *1 sc, inc* repeat around (18 stitches).
R4: *2 sc, inc* repeat around (24 stitches).
R5-R10: Sc in each stitch around (24 stitches) for 6 rounds. This will give the base its height.

Nipple:

Switch to pink yarn.
R11: Sc in first 10 stitches, inc in next 2 stitches, sc in the last 12 stitches (26 stitches).
R12: *1 sc, inc* repeat around (39 stitches).
R13: Sc in each stitch around (39 stitches).
R14: Dec until 6 stitches remain, then pull tight to close and fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Finishing:

Stuff the breast firmly with the fiberfill.
Using the long tail from the nipple, sew it securely to the top of the base. Make sure it is centered.
Weave in all ends using a yarn needle.
For added texture, you may create some texture lines on the areola by going back and forth with the pink yarn in a few stitches.

Blocking: Gently shape and ensure your stitches look even and tidy. Blocking is typically not necessary for stuffed toys, but if you want to make sure the shape is perfect, you can lightly steam it.
