- Optional: decorative flower (for embellishment)
Gauge:
To ensure your project turns out the right size, check your gauge by making a 4" x 4" square. You should have approximately 12 double crochets and 9 rows in that square. Adjust your hook size if necessary.
Abbreviations:

- dc = double crochet

- st = stitch

Body:
- Continue to work dc in each st for 10 rounds, without increasing. This will create the body of the purse.
Finishing:
- After completing the last round, cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Pull the tail through the last st and tighten.
- Using the yarn needle, weave in all ends securely.
- Optional: Attach a decorative flower on the front of the purse for added charm.
- To create straps, make a long chain of approximately 50-60 ch. Attach to the sides of the purse using sl st.
Blocking:
To give your purse a polished look, lightly steam it or soak it in water and lay it flat to dry. This will help enhance the shape.
Optional Variations:
- Change the yarn color for different seasons.
- Add a lining for a more finished look.
- Add beads or other embellishments to personalize your purse.
Your lovely crochet flower basket purse is now complete! Fill it with flowers or other treasures, and enjoy your beautiful handiwork.
