Brown - 150g
Cream - 50g

Gauge

To check your gauge, make a 4x4 inch square in dc (double crochet). You should have about 12 stitches and 8 rows. Adjust your hook size as necessary to match this gauge.

Instructions

Body of the Top

Start with a slip knot and ch 34 (adjust for larger/smaller sizes).
Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from the hook, dc across (32 dc). Turn.
Row 2-12: Ch 3, dc across (32 dc). Turn.
After row 12, fasten off and weave in ends. This will be the front piece. Measure approximately 12 inches from the bottom edge to adjust for your desired length.

Strap

Using brown yarn, ch 50 (or desired length for the neck strap).
Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, sc across for 48 chains. Turn.
Repeat this for 4 more rows. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Make another strap for the other side.

Daisy Flowers

With cream yarn, create a magic circle.
Round 1: Ch 1, 12 sc into the circle. Pull tight to close. Sl st to join.
Round 2: Ch 2, (dc in next sc, ch 2, sl st in next sc) repeat 6 times. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Make 2 flowers. Position them on the center of your top and sew using the long tails from each flower.

Finishing

Weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle. To block the piece and help it hold its shape, lightly mist with water and lay flat to dry.
