Cast on 32 stitches using a stretchy cast-on method.
-
-
Work Sole & Body:
-
Knit 18 rows in garter stitch (knit every row). This forms the base of the bootie.

Begin Instep Shaping:
-
Row 19: Knit 12, bind off 8 stitches, knit remaining 12.
-
Now work on each side separately (you will return to the middle later).
-
-
Sides:
-
Row 20–24: Knit 12 stitches on each side separately (you now have 2 flaps).
-
After finishing both, break yarn.
-
-
Instep Flap:
-
Join yarn at center (between the two flaps).
-
Pick up 1 stitch from each side to reduce hole.
-
Knit 6 rows across center 8 stitches only.
-
-
Joining the Front:
-
Pick up and knit 12 stitches along one side, then knit the 8 center, then pick up and knit 12 along other side = 32 stitches again.
-
-
Cuff:
-
Work 6 rows in K2, P2 ribbing or garter stitch.
-
-
Bind Off:
-
Bind off loosely in pattern.
-
-
Finishing:
-
Fold the bootie in half vertically.
-
Seam the sole and back with mattress stitch.
-
Optional: Add a ribbon through the cuff or sew a small button on the front.
-
