Heart-Shaped Crochet Doily

Materials:

Instructions:

Round 1: Begin with a slip knot. Ch 5, sl st in first ch to form a ring. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc in the ring. Sl st to top of ch 3 to close.

Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st. 2 dc in each st around. Sl st to top of ch 3 to close. (24 dc)

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Sl st to top of ch 3 to close. (36 dc)

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts; repeat from * around. End with a sl st to ch 3. (48 dc)

Forming the Heart Shape:

Round 5: Ch 3, 4 dc in first st, *sk 2 sts, 5 dc in next st; repeat from * around. End with sk 2 and sl st to top of ch 3.

Round 6: Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 3, sk 2 sts, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Sl st to first sc.

Scalloped Edge:

Round 7: Sl st into first ch space, ch 3, 5 dc in same sp, *sc in next ch space, 5 dc in next space; repeat from * around. Sl st to first st to close.

Finishing:
