Instructions

  1. Wrist Strap (Worked Flat):

    • Ch 41

    • Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (40 sc)

    • Row 2–4: ch 1, turn, sc across (40 sc)

    • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing

  2. Finishing:

    • Fold the strap in half, forming a loop

    • Slide the key ring or clasp to the center of the fold

    • Use the long tail to sew both ends of the strap together behind the ring

    • Weave in all ends

How To

  1. Sizing Note: You can increase or decrease the initial chain to change wrist size. 40 chains = approx. 15 cm loop.

  2. Attaching Ring: Make sure the ring is placed evenly before sewing; pinch and test it before stitching shut.

  3. Beginner Tip: If sewing with yarn is tricky, use embroidery floss and a tapestry needle for tighter grip.

  4. Color Play: Make them in bright or ombre yarns for summer, or neutral tones for everyday use.

  5. Gift Tip: Wrap with a matching key tag or label for small but thoughtful gifts.
