  16. Begin decreasing rounds for shaping the top of the cat.
  17. Round 26: *5 sc, dec* repeat around (36)
  18. Round 27: *4 sc, dec* repeat around (30)

  21. Stuff the body firmly with stuffing at this point.

Head:

  1. Follow the same steps as for the body up to round 10 with light yellow yarn, but then do not switch to gray yarn.
  2. Rounds 11-20: Sc in each stitch around (24) (10 rounds).
  3. Start decreasing rounds.
  4. Round 21: *5 sc, dec* repeat around (30)
  5. Round 22: *2 sc, dec* repeat around (18)
  6. Stuff the head and continue decreasing until closed (6), finish off.

Ears (make 2):

  1. Using yellow yarn, ch 5.
  2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and the next 2 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Turn to work on the other side of the chain, sc in each of the 3 stitches (8).
  3. Row 2: Ch 1, dec, 4 sc, dec (6).
