Instructions

Ribbed Waistband

  1. CH 10

  2. Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook, SC across

  3. Row 2–80: CH 1, SC in back loops only (creates ribbed texture)

  4. Join ends to form waistband tube (or leave flat if tying back)

Body

  1. Work 1 row of SC across ribbed band edge (approx. 80 stitches)

  2. Begin mesh pattern:

    • Row 1: CH 4 (counts as DC + CH 1), SK 1, DC in next, CH 1, SK 1, DC across

    • Row 2+: Repeat pattern, decreasing 1 DC from each end every few rows to create the triangle shape

  3. Continue until top forms halter point

Straps

  • CH 60–80, SC back for sturdy tie straps

  • Make 2: one for neck, one for back tie (or continue as one-piece around neck)
