Crochet Summer Bralette Top

Materials:

Yarn: 200g of DK weight cotton yarn in cream or off-white
Hook: 4.0 mm (G/6) crochet hook

16 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet. To measure the gauge, make a small swatch of double crochet (about 10 stitches wide) and count how many stitches fit in a 4-inch section. Adjust your hook size if necessary to match the gauge for the correct size.

Instructions:

1. Start with the Band: Ch 47 (or any multiple of 4 + 3). Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across (45 dc). Turn.

2. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next dc and in each dc across. Turn. (45 dc)

3. Repeat Row 2 until the band measures 28 inches (or desired length). End off, leaving a long tail for sewing later.

4. Creating the Cups: For one side, attach yarn to the center of the band. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then dc into the next 10 stitches (for a total of 11). Turn.

5. Row 1: Ch 3, dc in each dc across (11 dc). Turn.

6. Row 2: Ch 3, sk first dc, dc in next 9 dc (10 dc). Turn.

7. Row 3: Ch 3, sk first dc, dc in next 8 dc (9 dc). Turn.

8. Continue decreasing in this manner until you have only 2 dc remaining. End off.

10. Attaching the Cups: With the band facing you, sew the cups on top of the band so they are evenly spaced (about 6 inches apart). Use the tapestry needle and the long tail left from the band to secure them tightly.

11. Straps: For each strap, ch 60 (or desired length). Sl st in the end of the strap to form a loop, then attach to the top of each cup securely. Repeat for the other side.
