Hook: Size G/6 (4.0 mm)
Tapestry needle for weaving ends
Measuring tape

Gauge:

16 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in lace pattern. To measure, crochet a swatch of 20 stitches and 10 rows. Measure 4 inches across the middle of your swatch. Adjust your hook size if necessary to meet this gauge.

sc: single crochet
dc: double crochet
sl st: slip stitch
sp: space
st: stitch

Instructions:

Body of the Dress:

Chain 140 for the neckline, ensure it's a multiple of 6 plus 2 for the lace pattern.
Row 1: In the 4th ch from the hook, dc, *ch 2, skip next 2 ch, dc in the next ch; repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *dc in the ch-2 sp, ch 2; repeat from * across. Finish with a dc in the last dc. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in the first st, *ch 2, skip the next dc, sc in the ch-2 sp; repeat from * across. Turn.
Repeat Rows 1-3 until the desired length (approximately 30-32 inches for a knee-length dress). You should have about 10-12 rows of the lace pattern.

Waist Panel:

After finishing the body, chain 20 to create a waistband. Join with sl st to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st.
Round 2: Repeat Round 1 until the band measures 2 inches in height.

Assembly:
