Instructions:
Dress Body:
1. Start by making a slip knot and chain 90. This will be the base foundation for your dress.
2. Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make 1 dc. Continue making 1 dc in each chain across. (Total 88 dc) Turn your work.
3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), *dc in next dc, ch 1, skip the next dc; repeat from * across to the last dc. Make 1 dc in the last dc. Turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 3, then *dc in ch-1 space, ch 1; repeat from * across. Finish with 1 dc in the top of the starting ch 3. Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the dress measures approximately 32 inches (or desired length) from the top.
Straps:
6. To make straps, from the top of the dress, count 20 stitches inwards from each side and attach yarn. Ch 1, then make 12 dc for each strap. Fasten off and block the straps to lay flat.
Finishing:
7. Weave in all loose ends with the yarn needle. This is an important step to keep your work neat and tidy!
